A patent and trademark specialist, Kader Talu acts for national and international clients in all areas of obtaining and enforcing intellectual property rights. She provides consultancy services for trademark, patent, and industrial design proceedings before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, while following the application procedures and processes on behalf of the clients. Before the Ministry of Trade, she manages applications and pursues the protection of intellectual and industrial property rights at customs.
Kader also offers services in trademark registrability searches and trademark use searches. She is engaged in researching and reporting similar trademarks of registered trademarks to prevent infringements, as well as monitoring and reporting on international trademark applications filed by clients through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and taking action when required. She is in contact with attorneys in relevant countries for clients to protect their intellectual property rights internationally and to maintain the existing protection.
She is currently pursuing her master’s degree with thesis at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Social Policy and Social Services.
