Moroğlu Arseven hosted a seminar regarding Biotechnology April 14 as part of the 2014 Swiss Innovation Series. The seminar was jointly organized by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey and MIT Enterprise Forum Turkey. The Series aims to support the climate of innovation and success between the two countries, as well as analyze structures and key elements which contribute to this success.
Two experts in the biotechnology sector gave presentations during the seminar:
- Dr. Chris Hentschel, Partner at Ulysses Advisory Group, U.K., and former Chief Scientific Officer at Bio Istanbul – “Policy Successes and Failures in the Biosciences 1972-2014”
- Prof. Dr. Murat Özgören, Vice Rector at Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir – “2014 – What to do next, how to create critical mass?”
The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey was established in 1984 with the mission of acting as a trade connection bridge and communication center between Turkey and Switzerland. The association provides support with consulting, information, logistics, and communication, among other services. The Association currently has 165 members operating in the production, trade and services industries, located in both Turkey and Switzerland. Moroğlu Arseven has been a member of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey since 2012.
The MIT Enterprise Forum is a global organization. Through local chapters, the Forum aims to strengthen the technology sector, supporting the growth of innovation economy, as well as bringing new technologies and innovation into the marketplace. Membership is open to anyone interested in or involved with technology entrepreneurship. Moroğlu Arseven’s Partner, Benan Arseven, was a founding member of the Turkish chapter in 2010.
