The Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles to be Complied with in Foreign Notification and Requests for Recall (“Communiqué“) issued by the Ministry of Justice, has been published in the Official Gazette dated 26 December 2023 and numbered 32411.

The Communiqué sets out the costs to be paid in 2024 for international service of process and requests for summons in the framework of international judicial cooperation and was entered into force on January 1, 2024.

Pursuant to Article 6 of the Communiqué, for the year 2024, it is regulated that the postal expenses for each notification or request for interrogation mediated by the ministry or foreign representative offices will be:

  • 200 Turkish Liras for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and,
  • 350 Turkish Liras for other countries.

The Communiqué also regulates the costs requested from foreign authorities for notifications to be made pursuant to Article 25/a of the Notification Law. In this context, changes have been made in Canada and Thailand for 2024.
