Partner Burcu Tuzcu Ersin attended the G3 Entrepreneurship Forum on November 20 in Istanbul. It was the third year the event was held and it was attended by approximately 750 people as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The Forum was jointly organized by TOBB (Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges), Uluslararası Girişimcilik Merkezi (International Entrepreneurship Initiative) and GATE Turkey.

Burcu acted as a mentor during the forum on the topic of “I have an idea, but no money”, which mainly involved discussions on how to raise funds from third parties, especially angel investors and venture capital funds for implementing one’s idea.

During the forum, attendees had an opportunity to participate in round table meetings with leading figures in entrepreneurship and supporting services. During the forum the International Entrepreneurship Initiative also established a cooperation protocol between seven Turkish cities with the goal of supporting local entrepreneurship.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is a worldwide celebration of innovators and entrepreneurs in November of each year and involves a wide range of events in over 138 countries. Turkish events in 2013 included panels, seminars, workshops, competitions, training programs and web meetings.
