As part of the firm’s support for entrepreneurs who compete in the Global Cleantech Innovation Program, Moroğlu Arseven hosted five entrepreneur teams September 22.

The teams are semi-finalists in a competition within the scope of the GCIP; a program organized by the cooperation of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and TÜBİTAK (a Turkish public institution) and involves eight countries.

Nine lawyers from the firm held meetings with each team for one hour. Questions from the teams focused on: Types of companies to form, incorporation of companies, Intellectual Property (mainly patent registration), fundamental principles of corporate/commercial law, shareholder agreements and electricity sales.

Entrepreneurs who develop ideas and/or projects in the clean technology area participate in this program. The National Project Manager of the program, Dr. Osman Malik Atanur and the Technical Project Consultant Arda Saygın Köstem contacted the firm for support.

The firm has since been very active in its participation.

On September 11, IP Partner Işık Özdoğan made a presentation to the 14 semifinalists regarding intellectual property. On September 15, Dr. E. Seyfi Moroğlu gave a presentation on corporate law, commercial law, growth finance and strategic legal issues.

Moroğlu Arseven will continue to support this program in the future.
