Gökçe İzgi is an intellectual property attorney specializing in both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. She advises leading corporations and innovators on managing, commercializing, and enforcing IP rights while navigating complex regulatory frameworks, particularly in highly regulated industries.
Her expertise spans trademark-patent prosecution, litigation, and licensing, with significant experience supporting cross-border filings, licensing arrangements, and enforcement strategies. Gökçe regularly works with pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and tobacco companies, guiding them through licensing, marketing authorization, and market entry processes. She is known for providing clear, business-focused solutions where legal, regulatory, and commercial considerations intersect.
With expertise extending to trademark and unfair competition disputes, anti-counterfeiting initiatives, and market clean-up projects, Gökçe has successfully represented global brands in high-stakes litigation, trade dress conflicts and deceptive trade practice cases.
She also advises clients on drafting and negotiating sophisticated copyright agreements, such as production contracts, advertising agency agreements, and other rights management arrangements, ensuring their creative and commercial interests are fully protected.
Gökçe is currently the President of FICPI Turkey and a member of the INTA Leadership Comittee. She also mentors startups on IP strategy on a pro bono basis.
