Mr. Emre Timurkan, who brings over thirty years of national and international experience across banking, capital markets, and industrial investment, joins Moroğlu Arseven as Senior Independent Advisor, effective 18 September 2026.
Mr. Timurkan is well known within the finance and industry community and need no detailed introduction. The following highlights offer a sense of the breadth of his experience and expertise.
Over the course of a career spanning Europe, Türkiye, the Middle East, and the United States, Mr. Timurkan has held senior executive, chief executive, and board-level positions, and has been closely involved in numerous landmark international finance, strategic capital investment, and corporate transformation transactions and processes. Most recently, he acted as Head of the Finance Sector Group at OYAK, where he chaired the boards of OYAK Anker Bank (Frankfurt), OYAK Yatırım, and OYAK Sigorta Aracılık. Earlier, as Chief Executive Officer of the alumina producer Almatis, he led the company through its transformation. At Citigroup’s London office, he advised sovereign funds and select corporate clients on complex financial transactions.
