The most common rules regulating employment relationships in Turkey are the laws. While main areas are regulated by law, the executive body carries out practical measures for the implementation. The executive body exercises this authority through regulations, legislations and Council of Ministers’ decisions. While Judicial opinions, the constitution, and international agreements are also among the main sources of the employment law, employment agreements, internal regulations, and workplace practices can be named as private sources.
