As stated in our Commercial Communications and Commercial Electronic Messages Guideline that we have published on 16 November 2020, the deadline for service providers to register with the Commercial Electronic Message Management System (İYS) and upload their current approvals was set as 1 December 2020. The deadline; however, has been extended once again due to COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Commerce, the new İYS deadlines are as follows:
- For service providers with more than 150,000 commercial electronic message consents, 31 December 2020 is set as the deadline to upload the commercial electronic message consents they had previously obtained. The deadline for recipients to check their previous consents on the İYS is 15 February 2021.
- For service providers having 150,000 or fewer commercial electronic message consents, 31 May 2021 is set as the deadline to upload the commercial electronic message consents they had previously obtained. The deadline for recipients to check their previous consents on the İYS is 15 July 2021.
