Melis Yılmaz Türköz

Melis Yılmaz Türköz focuses her practice on intellectual property law, particularly in trademark, patent, design, and unfair competition matters. She provides legal support to clients at all stages of the commercial use and protection of intellectual property rights.

She plays an active role in disputes and litigation involving well-known trademarks, patents, and designs. Her work includes sending cease-and-desist letters, conducting settlement negotiations, handling infringement, unfair competition, and invalidation actions to safeguard clients’ rights.

Melis is involved in managing the IP portfolios of various international brands operating in Türkiye. She assists in developing tailored protection strategies that address the unique complexities and dynamics of each portfolio. Her work in this area includes filing oppositions and non-use cancellation requests before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, negotiating letter of consents and coexistence agreements, and handling domain name complaint proceedings.

She supports international clients from a wide range of industries, including industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, retail and consumer products, and entertainment and hospitality.

Before joining the team at Moroğlu Arseven, Melis completed a one-year internship at the Boards of Appeal of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Melis is recognized as a Rising Star in the IP Stars list published by Managing IP.
