Turkey’s Ministry of Justice, İstanbul Justice Commission of First Instance Civil Courts has published an announcement (“Announcement”) on the court proceedings within the scope of the measures taken due to COVID-19 pandemic on 6 April 2020.
Within the scope of the announcement;
- As of 7 April 2020, courts which are not on duty shall not be kept open unless the judge or presidents of the court are working on the decision regarding postponement of the hearing.
- Requests regarding urgent work shall be reviewed by court judges and staff on duty, taking into account documents submitted through the online judiciary information system (UYAP).
