Turkey’s Ministry of Justice has issued a circular dated 2 April 2020 (“Circular”) to clarify the Presidential Decree numbered 2279 on the suspension of enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings (“Decree”).
The Circular stipulates that the payment to the relevant enforcement office in accordance with the writ of garnishment issued prior to the Decree, does not constitute a violation of the Decree. In this regard, the Circular states that in case
- there are multiple enforcement files or,
- the salary deduction applied to a file completes,
the salary deduction should be applied to the other enforcement files respectively.
