Law number 7244 on Reducing the Economic and Social Effects of New Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Amendment of Certain Laws (“Law”) has been published in the Official Gazette on 17 April 2020. Pursuant to the article 2 subparagraph (ı) of the Law, an amendment has been made within the Trade Unions and Collective Bargaining Agreements Law numbered 6356.
In accordance with the new amendment, all periods regarding;
- The determination of authorizations,
- The execution of collective labor agreements,
- The resolution of collective labor disputes and
- Strikes and lock-outs
within the scope of the Trade Unions and Collective Bargaining Agreements Law numbered 6356, will be extended by three months.
The President has the right to extend this period by an additional three months.
