Burcu supports high-profile clients with a full spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, helping them to negotiate and restructure various contracts to ensure their Turkish operations run smoothly, as well as understand and address regulatory risk exposures.

She has significant experience assisting clients to deal with complicated compliance issues in Turkey. For instance, helping clients to understand and navigate a range of data protection or privacy compliance questions. These issues include questions about monitoring employees and making international data transfers, along with compiling data inventories, developing data security and audit mechanisms, as well as helping clients develop data storage, retention, amendment and destruction mechanisms.

Burcu supports public companies to understand how capital markets regulatory rules apply during their day-to-day operations. In the corporate governance context, Burcu assists with issues such as shareholder rights, disclosure requirements, insider trading, related party transactions, company group structures, along with capital markets licensing and trading suspensions. She also supports clients with internal investigations, often involving sensitive compliance issues related to anti-corruption, employee misconduct, as well as criminal law.

Burcu is also involved in competition compliance processes for clients operating in a range of competition-sensitive industries or business structures.

Burcu supports a broad range of domestic and international companies, most notably in the retail and consumer, information technologies, media, natural resources, food and beverage sectors.
